At FPA University Medical Summer™, we teach you how to take a scholarly project from start to finish. We have curated case studies and research projects for you to work on. We teach you how to write for a medical journal, and finally help you publish your work in a pubmed indexed journal. Our team publishes on average a paper every 5 days.

At the FPA University Medical Summer™ medical publishing camp, every student publishes a first-author paper in a pubmed indexed journal.

Two camps to get published

  • In this program, we perform a clinical case study. We explore reasons why the patient had the outcome they did. The potential pitfalls and future complications. We frame the case in the context of what is currently known about the disease process.

  • In this program, students decide on a health topic that is meaningful to them and design a study to collect the relevant data. They then learn to analyze these data using biostatistical methods in medicine, and learn to write these results up for medical journal publication. Students also write a research abstract for presentation at a scientific meeting. For summer 2024, that will be the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.
